I SENT someone overseas a Christmas card and letter a while back and when they eventually received it, it had been opened and damaged. I must give a big thank you to the Royal Mail for going an extra mile to ensure that the opened letter was put into a Royal Mail plastic envelope and forwarded to its intended destination.

To the person who opened this letter, you must have been very disappointed not to find money or anything of value in the envelope…shame on you. No wonder the SA postal service is not doing well. The public has lost their trust in the postal service due to the amount of theft.

Previously I had also made use of the postal service and the parcel never reached its destination and no trace of it has ever been found – it just disappeared.
