Come July 14, City Power arrived to install a new Smart (ARM) Meter, number: 48000321371 with a threat that if I do not conform, I stand a chance of having my supply cut-off! I duly accepted the conditions.
At the end of July I received an account for an amount of R2 203.19 for estimated usage up to August 7. Note the difference, a whopping increase of R1 072.48 for one month!
Then mid-August City Power arrivde again to activate the new meter! I ask you with tears in my eyes!
I religiously read my electricity meter every week and now I have to go and waste hours at their centre to sort out the COJ and City Power problems, due to their incompetence.
I am sure the ward councillors in our area would love to also get their two bits in on the Billing Department debacle.
