Not an attack on race

Firstly, my condolences to the family of the deceased.

The attack on the Comaro CHRONICLE reporter is uncalled for, she was merely reporting the facts. There was nothing racist in the article.

I am the owner of the property outside which the littering occurred.

I returned home on Saturday 17 May around 13h00 and saw the mourners eating their lunch on the sidewalks. Two Metro buses were parked in the road and there was just enough space to squeeze by. I was curious to find out what the occasion was and spoke to some of the people who informed me that they were attending a funeral. I thanked them and left.

About 40 minutes later I heard the buses depart. When I left my house about 16:00 I was utterlydismayed to see the rubbish that was left behind. The litter was still there when I returned home later that night. On Sunday morning at about 10:30 I began to clean up the mess. Not only the polystyrene containers but pieces of chicken, meat and other food that by now were covered in ants and other insects, making it a very unpleasant task.

So while you may claim to have cleaned up the area, your efforts were not enough.

Youmay be disappointed in the reporting of the incident, what I find difficult to understand ishow you can defend the behavior of the bus passengers. This was not an attack on any race but on the disgusting behavior of fellow South Africans.
