How to achieve more in your life

You need to always evaluate yourself so that you can improve your well-being.

“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” – T.S. Elliot

Every behaviour we engage in, we do so to reduce uncertainty and increase certainty. From the brain’s perspective, the stress resulting from uncertainty is big. It increases brain cell death, reduces the brain’s plasticity and prevents you from becoming the best version of yourself.

We do everything we can to avoid uncertainty and yet, the irony is, that’s the only place we can go if we will ever see differently.

Growth comes when we honestly ask ourselves different and uncomfortable questions instead of playing victim.
Let me share with you five questions that I continually ask myself in different areas of my life and have worked for me and continue to do so.

These questions are:

1. What am I doing well in my life? This gives me an indication in terms of what I need to continue doing.

2. What am I not doing well, that I need to improve in? This helps me to be aware of my shortcomings and what I need to do to improve.

3. What am I doing that I shouldn’t be doing, that’s no longer adding value to my life?

4. What new skills do I need to develop? This helps me identify habits I need to install to ensure that those skills are developed.

5. If I were my own coach, what advice would I give myself? Listen to that advice and you’ll be amazed at how good much you’ll learn from this.

We all have the power to improve and produce better results than we are currently producing. These five questions will help you unlock your inner power and transform you from mental darkness to mental light.
