There are days and there are days! Last Monday I popped into The Glen Shopping Centre, got a great parking, did my shopping, came out and ran into some kind of commotion. Two women, both driving top end of the range cars, were arguing about who should give way to the other. They were screaming from their driver seats and guess what, my car was parked right where their fight was going on. Needless to say, it carried on for twenty minutes (and probably more, after I managed to escape). A security guard rocked up on his ‘wheels’ and asked them both to drive on but they flatly refused. In the end, one backed up slightly and I managed to get my car out without hitting the car parked next to me and left the screaming match behind. Road rage is real – or parking lot rage in this instance! By now the heavens had opened. It was pouring and when I arrived home, I got soaked dashing from my car to the house. Ten minutes later the electricity went off, only to return the following day at 4pm!

How’s the shopping going? Last week I went to Mac’s Wholesalers at 81 Planet Ave in Crown Extension 7, Johannesburg. Wow – they have some great deals on Christmas cards, gift wrap and gift bags, ribbons, cuddly toys, as well as books for children and adults, and lots more. Phone 011 839 1972 for business hours. It may be a little out of the way but, honestly, it’s really worth the drive and you’ll save money. I’m now fully stocked up with Christmas gift wrapping and ribbons…. Just need all the gifts now.
