Looking around you can still buy a gift for around R100. This year I must stress, it’s not about the amount you spend but the gift, wrapped beautifully and given with love. Most people are battling with the expense of everything but will still like to give a little gift. Next week I’ll give you some gift ideas for the whole family for around R100 each.
Delicious gifts to melt in your mouth
Last year I bought some gorgeous biscuits, exquisitely decorated for Christmas from Cherubs Home Industry in De Marionette Centre, Meyersdal. The made up packets of tiny gingerbread men, snowmen, stars, angels and Christmas trees were absolutely loved by the little ones in our family and actually the adults too! They were so moreish I decided I definitely wanted more this festive season.
What luck for me, I actually met the lady who bakes and decorates the biscuits and I’m placing my order directly through her because I’m buying quite a few gift packs as well as jars of cookies. You can buy single snowflakes and angels to a gingerbread house, as well as a DIY house for children to make up themselves. There is also a range of ‘paint your own tree’ decorations to keep them busy in the hectic run-up to Christmas.
The biscuits mixes are Soetkoekie, ginger and shortbread and each and every one is decorated beautifully. There’s also a range of biscuits which will make the perfect gift for school teachers.
