Reuven City Power did a revenue collection drive on October 17.
The purpose of the drive was to collect money from defaulting businesses in Nasrec, Rifle Range and Mondeor.
The entire amount of all defaulting businesses was R45m. City Power representatives informed defaulting companies that they would be cut off through termination notices.

Lloyd Ntlemo, revenue specialist at Reuven City Power spoke about why this drive was undertaken.
“We undertook this drive as these businesses have been paying small amounts concerning the large sums they owe to keep their power on. In addition, there also have been cases of illegal connections being created to avoid paying,” said Lloyd.
Businesses were cut off until payments were made or arrangements for regular payment were outlined at the Reuven City Power office.
