St Declan’s cricket team wins South East cricket final

St Declan’s School for Boys’ U11 cricketing team emerged as the South East Rand Championship final winners, having led by 70 runs.

St Declan’s School for Boys’ U11 cricketing team shows no signs of stopping their competitiveness. The boys are on a mission to maintain a winning streak.

In September, the all-boys school managed 158/5 in 20 overs against Germiston-based Colin Mann Primary School, which clinched 88 all out in 20 overs.

The match saw St Declan’s come out on top, winning by 70 runs and taking the crown of the 2024 South East Rand Champions.

“This year, St Declan’s School for Boys has made major steps towards its sporting activities. We look forward to playing cricket again in the fourth term, participating in the Edenvale Schools League. The development of our school sports is growing from strength to strength.

“Congratulations to the U11 cricket boys and their coach, Gavin Dean,” said Christopher Palmer, the St Declan’s head of sport.
