WATCH: Glenvista High School gets great prizes in SARB competition

Nompilo Oha, Thembelihle Mbatha, Gugulethu Mkhonza, and Ntwanonhle Myeni put Glenvista High on the map after getting fifth place in the 2024 Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) Schools Challenge.

Glenvista High School learners made their school proud when they placed in fifth position and walked away with great prizes in the 2024 Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) Schools Challenge.

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB), in collaboration with the Department of Basic Education (DBE), announced the winners of the 2024 Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) Schools Challenge at the Sandton Convention Centre’s Bill Gallagher Room.

Glenvista High School was among the 12 schools shortlisted as finalists for the MPC Schools Challenge. The learners delivered a well-prepared presentation during the presentation stage of the competition at Irene Country Lodge in Centurion on August 6.

The learners walked away with R9 000 each and a certificate. Their teacher received a laptop, and the school took home R16 000.
