New principal appointed at Robertsham Primary School

The school welcomes her appointment and wishes her well.

Robertsham Primary School announced the appointment of Nirasha Pillay as its new principal on August 1.

Pillay brings with her over 25 years of experience in education, having served as a deputy principal for the past seven years.

In a statement, Pillay expressed her excitement at being appointed as the principal of Robertsham Primary School.

“I am honoured to take on the role of principal and look forward to working closely with the staff, learners and parents, to ensure I continue building an environment where every child can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. I am committed to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and inclusivity,” she said.

She is known for her passion and dedication to the education system, serving at Robertsham Primary School for 23 years.

She is qualified with her Master’s degree in Education and looks forward to her new role, where she will aim at improving student academic performance and the holistic development of the learner.

Her vision is to embrace all learners’ needs and create a safe learning environment.

“Robertsham Primary School must become an environment for each learner to thrive and achieve their full potential.”

She reiterated she believed in the power of education that transforms lives.

“It is our responsibility to create an environment where we encourage curiosity; develop critical thinking; and embrace lifelong learning. I look forward to cultivating, not only academic excellence but also the social and emotional well-being of our learners, preparing them to be responsible, compassionate and engaged citizens,” she noted.

Pillay shared she was excited about the journey ahead and looked forward to the possibilities that awaited her.
She will continue to build on the strong foundation of the school, creating a vibrant and dynamic community where every child can flourish.

She thanks the staff, learners and parents, husband Dino and her boys, Nikyle and Kayden, for their continued support and encouragement and God’s daily guidance and wisdom.
