Group 1 Renault The Glen celebrates Dealer of The Year win

The award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team as they remain committed to going above and beyond for their customers and community.

Group 1 Renault The Glen celebrated winning Dealer of the Year at an exciting event at their dealership on June 22.

Group 1 Renault The Glen, sponsors of The Official Mrs Soweto Empowerment Programme, hosted the sashing ceremony of the new 2024/25 Mrs Soweto finalists (Luminary Group 1).

The next Mrs Soweto will walk away with a new Renault Kiger for the year of her reign. The newly-crowned International Miss, Olwethu Mhlongo assisted with the sashing. Group 1 Renault The Glen also sponsored her on her journey.

Guests enjoyed a traditional braai and live music and were treated to performances by dance sensations, The Showstoppers.

“Winning this award was such an honour, and it felt only right to celebrate it with the community and staff who have supported us,” said George Stegmann, dealer principal of Group 1 Renault The Glen.

As part of the festivities, Group 1 Renault The Glen partnered with Wheel Well to collect donations of pre-loved car seats.

Community members donated car seats that were no longer in use but were still in good condition. These car seats will be refurbished and distributed to families in need.

“We are grateful to all those who joined us in celebrating winning Dealer of the Year,” Stegman said.

He added: “Giving back to the community is part of our ethos, which is why we are proud to support Wheel Well and The Official Mrs Soweto Female Empowerment Programme. We were honoured to have them celebrating with us.”
