Jackson informal settlement little ones enjoy loads of fun at holiday camp
The Jackson informal settlement children were entertained with a fun-filled five-day holiday day camp hosted by the Heaven on Earth Church.
Every holiday, kids aged between five and 12 are offered a week filled with activities to enjoy.
All the little ones had to provide was their on staftin and spoon because they were served breakfast and lunch daily and loads of spirit to make the most of the camp.
Meals on Wheels Walkerville donated a large portion of the food cooked for the children. A huge shoutout also goes to those donors who wished to remain anonymous.
On the games day, they were treated to fun activities such as a jumping castle and three-legged and sack races. There was also soccer and cricket.
Courtesy of AT Nursery, the children each planted their own beetroot plants.
This was followed by a day of looking for odd bits of metal, from which they made wind chimes. They also made posters for Pikitup to keep picking it up and not to stop.
All in all, the holiday camp was again hugely successful.
