Marist Brothers Linmeyer’s High School hosts Youth Day carnival

The event offered an opportunity for the learners to celebrate their youth through fun activities.

In a joyful commemoration of Youth Day, Marist Brothers Linmeyer hosted a special event on June 14, inviting young learners from Mary Help of Christians to join in the festivities.

The children, aged three to nine years old, were warmly welcomed by the learners and engaged in a day filled with fun and enriching activities.

The event, designed to foster community spirit and celebrate the vibrancy of the youth, included a variety of activities that delighted the young visitors.

The children danced in the quad, expressed their creativity through colouring and built imaginative structures with Lego. They enjoyed bouncing on the jumping castles and playing soccer on the field. Many moments were filled with laughter and joy.

A highlight for many was the treat of candy floss and Happy Meals from McDonalds which added an extra layer of excitement to the day.

The true essence of Youth Day was beautifully captured in the way the learners interacted with, and took care of, the young visitors from Mary Help of Christians.

Their kindness, enthusiasm and nurturing spirit were evident as they ensured the little ones had a memorable and enjoyable experience.

“This heart-warming event stands as a testament to the importance of Youth Day, reminding us all of the power of unity and the joy of bringing communities together. We look forward to hosting similar events in the future and continuing to build strong, supportive connections within our community,” said marketing manager Tracy Edwards.
