Glenanda Primary learners participate in the Discovery Knockout Cup
The learners brought back a trophy for their outstanding performance on the field.
The U12 soccer boys of Glenanda Primary took part in the Discovery Knockout Cup with 64 schools competing in this tournament.
In their final match against King David Linksfield, the match went into extra time after a score of 0-0. In the second half of extra time, Ayden Reddy scored a banger of a goal to win the match for his team 1-0.
The event took place on June 6 and was viewable on SuperSport Schools.
Conrad Bouwer from the school highlighted: “It is the first time a team from the south of Johannesburg has won the knockout cup.”
