Join TLC Children’s Centre for 67 minutes this July

Get involved and help raise a village in 67 minutes.

With Mandela Day just around the corner, TLC Children’s Home is excited to extend an invitation to you to join them in spreading love and making a difference at TLC Children’s Center.

As they honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela, the home is reaching out to individuals and organisations to join their 67 Minutes Initiative.

On July 18, Mandela Day, people worldwide dedicate 67 minutes to acts of kindness, symbolising the 67 years Mandela spent in service to humanity.

“We believe that together, we can create a positive impact, especially for the children in our community,” said the managing director of the home, Pippa Jarvis.

Here’s how you can participate:

1. Volunteer at TLC Children’s Center: Spend 67 minutes engaging with the children, playing games, or participating in activities to bring joy and laughter to their day. The home will have open days from July 15 to July 20, so you can choose any day within that period to join them.

2. Organise a collection drive: Encourage your colleagues to donate essential items such as clothing, Infacare 1 and 2, Huggies nappies (all sizes), bum cream, school supplies, books, or non-perishable food items to benefit the children at the home.

3. Spread the word: Share this initiative with your network and encourage others to join in making a difference.
To book your volunteering slot, please fill out the booking form.

Your support, no matter how small, will help create a brighter future for these children. If you’re interested in participating or have any questions, contact 011 948 7917, email info@tlc.org.za or visit www.tlc.org.za.

“Let’s come together and honour Nelson Mandela’s legacy in a meaningful way this Mandela Day,” said Jarvis.
