Corinthians FC hosts award ceremony

Members also received school shoes from Old Mutual.

Corinthians FC in La Rochelle hosted their awards ceremony on December 2.

They honoured all the dedicated members. Ward 57 Clr Faeeza Chame said Corinthians is not only a soccer club but a place called home.

“The founder, Jack Msibi has made it his mission to expand the club to the entire Ward 57. The youth come from as far as Elandspark, Regents Park, Moffat View, Unigray, Thulisa Park and other areas to be part of this organisation. They also have netball, cricket, chess and aftercare facilities.

“After the certification ceremony every child received a pair of school shoes that were donated by Old Mutual. We were honoured to have Mamelodi FC defender Katlego Mohammed, JMPD Superintended Eugene Bezuidenhout and Khulisa as part of this celebration.

“We would also like to see that more parents get involved with their children’s activities in the new year,” she said.
