Bellavista Clinic raises awareness on World Aids Day

The Bellavista Clinic hosted an open day to celebrate World Aids Day.

Dressed in red and white per the day’s theme, stakeholders, the Bellavista Clinic staff and the community gathered on December 1 to celebrate World Aids Day.

The focus of the day was World Aids Day and bringing awareness to the community. Additionally, the clinic held an open day to introduce its services to residents.

Bellavista Clinic health promoter Sifiso Khumalo said, “Many residents are unaware of our services, so we want to inform them. We have invited our stakeholders and partnered with Anova, SANCA and Macular Dystrophy Foundation of SA to enhance the awareness brought to the community further.”

Khumalo emphasised the importance of the event, highlighting that the facility aims for a generation free of HIV and Aids.

They educated the public on how to take their medication correctly, preventative measures to avoid infection and how to eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle.

Khumalo expressed his gratitude to the management and his colleagues at Bellavista Clinic, the ward councillor, the stakeholders and the community for their support in making the event a success.
