Figures’ Triumph in IMTA New York
Figures Glenvista takes center stage as two of its brightest stars, Hannah Okoh and Bokamotso Matlala, make waves at IMTA New York competition.
In a whirlwind of excitement and anticipation, the journey of eight representatives from Figures began on June 23.
Their destination was the hub of dreams, New York City. As they embarked on this exhilarating escapade, little did they know they were about to script a chapter of achievements that would reverberate for years.
Among this entourage, the spotlight was on two Figures Glenvista students, Hannah Okoh and Bokamotso Matlala. These young stars illuminated the stage of the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) in New York.
They participated in six divisions: swimwear, makeup, jeans, fashion print and runway, TV beauty, and fashion team.
The journey started with a gruelling 15-hour flight. The inaugural night was a chance to recharge before plunging into the whirlwind of competitions and events of the following days.
From the world of swimwear modelling to the rugged charm of jeans presentations, the artistry of makeup, the allure of TV commercial acting, and the spotlight of talent showcase – the representatives wholeheartedly immersed themselves in a kaleidoscope of competitions.
A triumphant crescendo was the much-awaited call-backs from among the over 300 agents present. These call-backs unfolded as personalised portals, offering advice and invaluable insights.
The IMTA platform stands as a powerful conduit for gaining profound professional experience.
In a testament to their exceptional talents and dedication, Okoh received 27 international call-backs, while Matlala got six international call-backs.
Amid the competition and excitement of call-backs, the representatives seized opportunities to shop and explore, indulging in the city’s dynamic offerings until they could shop no more.
These moments of leisure and luxury struck a harmonious balance with their demanding schedules.
Captivating experiences included exclusive photo shoots set against the breathtaking backdrop of New York’s most iconic landmarks. Brooklyn Bridge provided a picturesque setting, while the pulsating energy of Times Square became a canvas, encapsulating the essence of the city’s vivacity.
