Pam’s Academy learners receive a visit from public services
Public service workers took time off to educate learners about their jobs.
Pam’s Academy, a school located in Glenanda, aims to take advantage of the teachable moments that happen every day.
In doing so, they foster the intellectual, creative, social, emotional and physical growth and development of their students and aim to inspire a lifelong commitment to learning.
On August 4, the learners received a visit from the fire brigade, ambulance and security.
The learners were learning about jobs people do.
Public service workers from ER24, the City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services and ADT Security Services educated and demonstrated to the learners what they do on a daily basis.
The learners were excited and showed interest by listening, asking questions and volunteering for the demonstrations.
