How you can support the Epic Foundation

The Epic Foundation, an NPO dedicated to empowering survivors of rape and abuse, always needs helping hands to impact the community positively.

Founded in 2013 by Alta McMaster, who herself overcame numerous traumas, the foundation supports and empowers those in need.

If you want to contribute to the community and help trauma survivors, there are many ways to support the Epic Foundation.

• Making a hands-on difference

An impactful way to support the Epic Foundation is through volunteering. The foundation needs help with projects like the Comfort Pack and Fairy Godmother initiatives.

Volunteers can collect, sort, or donate items needed for these projects. Additionally, during promotional events, the foundation welcomes individuals to man stalls and raises awareness about its work.

• Offering professional support

If you are a fully qualified and registered counsellor or attorney/lawyer, your expertise could make a difference in the lives of survivors. The foundation needs professionals who can provide free counselling or legal advice to survivors of rape and abuse.

• Monetary donations

Monetary donations play a crucial role in supporting the foundation’s initiatives. If you can, donate any amount to their FNB account (branch: 250 655, business account: 6241 3013 484). Remember to send proof of payment to info@epicfoundation.org.za.

Another option is to sign up for a monthly debit order of R100, specifically for the Comfort Pack project.

• Non-monetary donations

For those who prefer donating items instead of money, the foundation needs second-hand items such as art, clothing, ornaments, furniture, and books for the charity shop. Dresses, purses, jewellery, shoes and suits for girls, bow ties, cufflinks, and shoes for boys are needed for the Fairy Godmother project.

• Stay connected

Follow and share by following ”The Epic Foundation” on Facebook and Twitter to stay current with their news and events. Spreading the word about their work helps raise awareness and generate support.

The Epic Foundation provides an array of opportunities for individuals to make a difference in the lives of survivors of rape and abuse.

“Whether through volunteering time and effort, offering professional expertise, making monetary or non-monetary donations, or supporting Honey Fashion Accessories, your support can empower those who endured trauma. Join hands with the foundation and be part of a compassionate community striving to create a brighter future for survivors,” said McMaster.
