WATCH: Public flock to see the opening of Thaba-Eco Village Lifestyle Centre

More is still to come at Thaba-Eco Village Lifestyle Centre.

Balwin Properties had a spectacular launch for the public at Thaba-Eco Village Lifestyle Centre, Kliprivier on April 1.

The estate boasts impressive apartments, a classic lifestyle centre with a gym, swimming pool, mini sports field, kiddies jungle gym, restaurant, laundromat, wellness spa, conference room and concierge service to name a few.

Balwin Properties CEO Steve Brookes thanked his family and the whole Balwin family.

“About 32 years ago, I met Mr Louw and I will never forget as he took me for a bumpy ride on this piece of land and said he was going to build a hotel. As in Afrikaans saying, ‘Ja boet’, that was never going to happen.

“So Mr Louw, I salute you for the incredible vision, thank you. Thank you to all my partners and fellow directors for the support and for putting up my vision and ideas. Thaba Eco Lifestyle Estate was a dream of ours and thanks to the Louw family, we are only at the beginning, there’s a huge city coming here,” he said.

From the Louw family, Rueben said the importance of life needs to be considered, as it is an incredible gift.

“As a family, we were quite challenged because everything that we’ve built up for over so many years had an opportunity or could have been lost. The business that we started in 1999 called today Thaba-Eco Village was really at the end of its pregnancy and Balwin Properties was the midwife and this beautiful development was born.

“It is with such humility and gratefulness that I can stand today at the opening of Thaba-Eco Village Lifestyle Centre.

“It is a place where we can meet freely with loved ones, friends and family like we are doing today. And my blessing to this property is that the word ‘life’ in Lifestyle Centre would be what we all experience and celebrate here for the years to come.

Thank you to my mom who is the moral compass of us as a family and business. My dad, it was such a privileged to have walked almost 25 years with you with this dream. Thank you to the rest of my family and the community.

“Lastly, thank you Balwin Properties as nobody else could have done what you did. Right from the start you honoured the wish of that first meeting that this is the place that will be open to the public,” he said.

The development is situated near healthcare facilities, schools and shopping centres. The area boasts beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife while enjoying the running and cycling trails.
