7 Calling all the old folk to come and enjoy some fun time, learning to swim or simply have some fun with other senior citizens at the Senior Squad with teacher June at Waterbabies Aquatic Centre. Classes take place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

8 Probus SA is part of a worldwide organisation which provides an environment of fellowship for retired or semi-retired people to meet with like-minded people. Probus Alberton has guest speakers, interesting outings, lunches, coffee mornings as well as fun activities throughout the year. Come and join this amazing group. Meetings take place at The Reading Country Club every second Wednesday of the month from 10:30 for 11:00. The next meeting will take place on March 8.

NEW 11 Guided hikes at Kliprivier Nature Reserve have moved to every second Sunday of the month. No booking will be required. You pitch, you join, you learn, have fun and get a good breath of fresh air and some exercise. After the hike, you will be given the option for a small donation towards the upkeep of the beautiful nature reserve. Bring your sunhat, water, comfortable hiking shoes, walking stick, and camera and don’t forget a smile and enthusiasm. Summer time walks will start at 07:30 (meet at 07:15 by the coffee shop, Kiblerpark entrance.). Winter walks will start at 08:00 (meet at 07:45 at coffee shop Kiblerpark entrance ).

18 Unleash the creative you and book for a stained glass workshop in the tranquil settings of Henley on Klip on March 18. Workshops last for about four hours and you will complete a suncatcher, which is yours to keep. All tools and materials, as well as instructions, are provided. Workshops are aimed at people who want to try their hand at the art before they commit to buying the equipment and, of course, at those who want to have an afternoon of fun with friends. The April workshop is scheduled for April 22.
