“He began his Marist journey at St Joseph’s Marist College in 1981 and then moved to Sacred Heart College in 1983. Eight years later, in 1991, he came to Marist Brothers Linmeyer once a week.

“On his journey, Dryden taught mathematics, science and religion to high school learners. He also used to coach cricket at St Joseph and Sacred Heart College. He is passionate about integral development in children, especially regarding religion. Father Dryden has been a Jesuit for over 62 years.”

Staat said the school was blessed with many beautiful years when Father Dryden was part of the Marist team, celebrating masses, hearing confessions and providing spiritual support and guidance to learners, staff and parents.

“To Father Dryden, as a school, we would like to wish you the best for continued good health, joy, and success on your new life’s journey as you enter retirement,” said Staat.
