Two suspects were arrested for possession of crystal meth worth millions and contravening the Immigration Act.

Police stopped a Jeep, with the driver seemingly wanting to turn around before the roadblock. They approached the suspect who appeared nervous. When they searched the car, it was packed with solid copper rods.

The suspect tried to bribe the officer with R100 notes.

At the very same roadblock, the police recovered crystal meth hidden in a boot of a Mercedes E-Class.

Major General Max Masha, the district commissioner of Johannesburg, said: “We were here today to conduct Operation O Kae Molao, during which we searched the one vehicle. Officers found three bags of charcoal in the boot. When they lifted them, they were heavy, and charcoal is not supposed to be heavy.

They then tore the bags and inside they found crystal meth worth millions of rands.

Bags carrying copper were found in a Jeep.

“We are investigating where are they from, and where are they going. They are foreign nationals. We are going to charge them for being illegally in the country and possession of drugs,” he said.
