Local DJ turns up the heat

Mduduzi 'MduvaTech' Sibeko is grateful for his achievements in the music industry and thanks locals for supporting him from the beginning. MduvaTech will host his birthday party on September 2, to celebrate his big day with his fans.

Alberton continues to prove to be a town full of budding celebrities.

Mduduzi Sibeko (28), known as MduvaTech, is the next ‘big thing’ in the entertainment industry, especially in the production of music and being on the DJ deck.

The artist was born in a township in KwaZulu-Natal called Vryheid, which, to him, was characterised by a lack of resources and artistic development. He grew up in Thembisa before moving to Johannesburg in 2016.

According to the musician, he developed a tremendous love for music at an early age while still living in Thembisa. The immense growth in his music career has made him believe he is the next best DJ. He also believes one day he will be an internationally recognised DJ.

“I did not choose music, but music searched and located its way to me. All I did was to accept the calling and ensure that I strive for the best against all odds to be where the passion wants me to be,” he said.

MduvaTech so far has been a resident DJ on Gagasi FM, the best knockout DJ achiever on Ukhozi FM, a ring finalist on YFM and is currently a resident DJ on uMhlobo Wenene FM.

He has performed live on air at over ten different radio stations, including Gagasi FM, YFM, Lesedi FM, Phalaphala FM, uMhlobo Wenene FM, YouFM, Kasie FM, Alex FM, Ntokozo FM, UK FM and Harry Gwala FM.

“It is okay to start with baby steps because if you put effort into whatever you are doing and towards your dreams you will win.

“Even the smallest steps and moves count. Start small to achieve big dreams and goals, and taking that one crawl or step means you are a step closer. Be consistent and work harder,” said the musician.

The artist will host his birthday party to celebrate the gift of life and his achievements since he became a DJ, on September 2.

The celebration will take place at 14593 Izilwane Street, Palmridge.
