Help Free Chapel Alberton keep locals warm

With winter fast approaching, a Randhart family church, Free Chapel Alberton, needs your help to secure at least 100 blankets to help as many people in the community as they can.

Free Chapel Alberton is affiliated with the Assemblies of God fellowship and works with Remar South Africa, an organisation that deals with abused women, men, and children.

They need donations of blankets to distribute in winter. They also have homeless people in Alberton who need some warmth.

Dorene van Tonder of the congregation said they also have five families they provide with food parcels and would welcome any assistance from the community.

“Our goal, God willing, is to get 100 blankets and help as many people as we can. We are a small church and we try to make a difference every day with Des and Linda Burrows as our pastors. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do’,” she said.

Free Chapel Alberton has operated for the past 12 years on 25 General Alberts Avenue, Randhart, just above Jaqueline Pharmacy, inside the JC Centre in Randhart.

Van Tonder said they could also issue section 18A certificates to companies wanting to donate because they are a non-profit organisation. Blankets can be dropped at 25 General Alberts Avenue, Randhart.
