Suspected housebreakers arrested in Glenanda after high-speed chase

Teamwork leads to the arrest of suspected housebreakers.

CPS Security working closely with Glenvista Community Policing Forum and Mondeor SAPS led to the arrest of four suspects in Glenanda after a high-speed chase on Tuesday.

According to the sales director of CPS Security, Tyrone van der Merwe a backup was requested from a Glenvista CPF member after four suspects were spotted driving recklessly.

“A high-speed chase ensued and tactical units managed to intercept the suspect’s motor vehicle,” he said.

It is reported four suspects were arrested on the scene.

Van der Merwe said housebreaking implements and false number plates among others were found in the vehicle.

“A big thank you to Warrant Officer Nel and Warrant Officer Moletsane from Mondeor SAPS,” added Van der Merwe.
