Brackendowns SAPS arrested two men for unlicenced firearm

Two men were arrested after Brackendowns SAPS were on a crime prevention patrol on the R59.

Brackendowns SAPS arrested two individuals and found them with an unlicensed firearm, ammunition, drugs and potentially stolen goods on October 20.

The officers saw two suspicious-looking individuals walking along the side of the road while out on a normal crime prevention patrol along the R59.

“A search led the members to recover an unlicensed firearm, ammunition and drugs (crystal meth) in their possession,” said a SAPS spokesperson.

Furthermore, the team members found two boxes of shoes and two telephones.

Brackendowns CPF chairperson, Geoff Steyn, thanked everyone involved in this arrest.
