A motorbike and bakkie crash at Louis Trichardt and 7th Street in Alberton North claimed the life of a man in his 30s on September 27.
At 16:54, ER24 arrived on the scene to discover the motorcycle and its rider in the middle of the street. On the sidewalk was where the bakkie was found.
According to the communication officer of ER24 Russel Meiring, the rider was examined by medical personnel, who discovered that he had suffered several wounds and that his vital signs were fast worsening.
“CPR and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated to revive the man. Unfortunately, after some time, the man succumbed to his injuries,” said Meiring.
Although the full details of this tragedy are unknown, local authorities were on the scene to conduct additional investigations.
