Women’s Month at The Glen Shopping Centre

The Glen Shopping Centre is teaming up with the EPIC Foundation this Women’s Month to collect comfort packs.

The foundation is an organisation whose aim is to develop, manage and sustain various projects and initiatives that assist survivors.

To support this wonderful initiative, all you need to do is purchase the items listed below and deliver them to the information desk at The Glen Shopping Centre where you will be handed a special bag to contain the items and drop them into the available donation boxes.

The list of content items needed for comfort packs should you wish to donate:

· Body lotion

· Bottled water

· Deodorant

· Face cloth and soap (bar or wash)

· Face mask and sanitiser

· Hairbrush/Comb, elastics, and clips for ladies

· Hand Sanitiser

· Lip balm

· Notebook and pen

· Sanitary towels (individually wrapped)

· Shampoo and conditioner

· Sweets

· Tissues

· Toothbrush and toothpaste

· Underwear (all sizes)

· Vaseline and wet wipes

The centre will be accepting donations until August 31. All donated items in the bags will be handed over to Epic Foundation and distributed to the appropriate facilities in and around the South of Johannesburg.

The comfort packs are used as the first items that survivors receive when making the first step in either reporting/leaving a terrible situation and serve as a sign of hope and comfort.
