Booysens Police Station is investigating a case of murder after a body was discovered on July 18 on the corner of High and Tramway streets.
Captain Lorraine van Emmerik, spokesperson for the Booysens Police Station said: “Members from the Community Service Centre received a complaint of an unknown African male lying in the street on the corner of High and Tramway streets just after midnight.
“Investigation showed that the deceased was stabbed. The deceased is believed to be between the age of 28 and 30 years. He was found wearing a grey shorts, grey jersey and black socks.”
Van Emmerik said: “A docket of murder was opened and the investigating officer Sergeant Mulalo Ramashia is asking anyone with any information to contact him on 011 433 5242 during office hours or visit the detective branch at Booysens Police Station.”
