Man killed on the N12 after being hit by a car
The man was announced dead on the scene by medics that responded to the accident.
A man was killed on July 21 after being hit by a car on the N12 close to Xavier off-ramp.
Russel Meiring, communication officer for ER24 said: “A man was killed when he was struck by a light motor vehicle on the N12 near the Xavier off ramp in Winchester Hills, south of Johannesburg. We arrived on the scene at 09:40 to find the body of a man lying in the middle of the road. A light motor vehicle was parked on the side of the road a short distance away.
“Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.”
The driver of the vehicle escaped injuries.
The accident is being investigated by the local authorities that were present on the scene.
