House robber shot dead, two arrested in Mulbarton

The second suspect was also shot and the third suspect broke his arm and wrist while fleeing the scene.

A suspect was fatally shot on Saturday night after an attempted house robbery on Walshingham Road, Mulbarton.

Francois Jansen, Fox Security’s operations director said three suspects armed with a 9mm handgun and knives entered a home and tried to rob a homeowner, acting in self-defence, the homeowner returned fire and fatally wounded one of the suspects.

“The second suspect was also shot and the third suspect broke his arm and wrist while fleeing the scene,” he said.

Fox Reaction team responded swiftly to the scene after the homeowner pressed a panic button.

“The owner pressed his panic, our Fox Reaction team responded swiftly and managed to apprehend the other two suspects that fled the scene.” said Jansen.

Fox Security recovered one firearm and a knife at the scene.

Jansen added that they believe these are the three suspects who are responsible for a number of house robberies in the area.
