Trap de Val ride is open to locals

Communities are invited to take part in a 100 kilometres cycling challenge on May 28 from Rietvlei Zoo Farm.

Trap de Tracks cyclists will be riding the 2022 edition on May 28 to raise awareness around child abuse.

The cycling challenge aims to raise much-needed funds for children who use the Teddy Bear Foundation services.

The much-anticipated Trap de Val ride cycling challenge be a 100km ride from Rietvlei Zoo Farm to the Val in Mpumalanga.

Edzisani Luvhengo of Teddy Bear Foundation said this is not a usual Saturday morning ride, but an opportunity to visit and experience the village of Val.

“We request you to register and join Trap de Tracks, as it is a great opportunity to get friends and family to sponsor your effort to make a difference in the lives of abused children,” she said.

Luvhengo said in their journey of helping others, their services are free of charge. That they have been helping children in need for 36 years.

“The Teddy Bear Foundation’s mission is to minimize harm to children and their families when entering the child protection system. We do this by providing expertise, information, education and support to ensure their healing journey is meaningful,” she said.
