Corinthians blind soccer players play their first match

Corinthians faced a team from the USA called Dare to Care International.

Corinthians FC’s blind soccer team recently played their first match against the American organisation, Dare to Care International (DI) at the Bertha Solomon Recreation Centre.

DI is an organization that visits high impact organizations in and around Johannesburg.

The players had a chance to play alongside former Bafana Bafana player, Brighton “Spider” Mohlongo.

Jack Msibi from the Corinthians club said, “It’s an honour for Corinthians to be selected by DI. It is an indication of us moving in the right direction.”

Both parents and spectators were excited as this was also the first game Corinthians played with their new kit, sponsored by HotFM.

The players awed the crowds with their skills and new friendships were formed on the field as Corinthians won the match 3-1.

Msibi further said, “We would like to thank the City of Johannesburg and the members of Corinthians that helped as well as our visitors from DI.”
