Petcare 101: Be kind to animals and receive the same kindness

Be Kind to Animals Week, which runs from May 1 to 7, aims to inspire people to reflect on their everyday lifestyle choices and how simple changes and acts of kindness may help animals of all species live in a better environment.

Be Kind to Animals Week is an annual festival conducted in the first full week of May.

This year it will take place from May 1 to 7.

The week was originally intended to recognise and appreciate the work made in the United States and around the world to protect animal safety.

Since the commencement of Be Kind to Animals Week was initiated in 1915, the American Humane Association has sponsored it all around the United States and invited various organisations to join them.

Its goal is to raise awareness about the need of being friendly to animals and protect them and their environments. So, this week and always, let us be friendly to all animals we encounter.
