Join the mysterious hunt for Easter eggs at Melville Koppies

Melville Koppies invites humankind for the delayed Easter eggs hunt on April 24.

The Easter Bunny was unable to visit Melville Koppies on Easter Sunday due to inclement weather; however, the Easter egg hunt will now be held on April 24.

Wendy Carstens of Melville Koppies invites individuals to come and hunt for the Easter eggs, and if one cannot find the Easter eggs, they can look for the white-bellied sunbirds eating the wild dagga.

Melville Koppies is accessible every Sunday from 08:00 until 11.30. If locating Easter eggs is not your thing, call 079 532 0083 to schedule a guided tour (or arrive by 08:30) and learn about the history and interactions of the various living organisms on the Koppies. Alternatively, you can follow the 3km heritage trail on your own.

Individuals can test their fitness on the 5km self-guided hike or join the guided 8km hike starting at 08:00 sharp on the first Sunday of every month.

If these are too demanding, just take a chilled self-guided walk for however long or short you want along the extensive network of paths.

Tickets are as follows:

Adults R80

Children R40

A year’s season ticket for an adult costs R500 (not transferable).
