Johannesburg Flying Squad successes

SAPS appreciates the public for their contribution.

Johannesburg Flying Squad members arrested two suspects for different crimes in Johannesburg, recovered three vehicles and one firearm with ammunition from January 21 to 24.

One was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition and the other for possession of drugs.
One firearm recovered, a .38 special, with ammunition, were booked at SAP 13.

Vehicles recovered include a white Ford Figo and a white Toyota Corolla that were hijacked from the owners, as well as a white Ford Bantam bakkie that was recovered stolen.

Johannesburg Flying Squad communications officer SPO Raymond Sambo said the investigation continues in all cases, working with the community led to these recoveries.

“SAPS appreciates the public for their contribution. It should also be noted that for any information regarding the vehicles, people may contact the relevant detective quoting the relevant case number.

“The two suspects appeared in different magistrate’s courts to face charges of possession of firearms and ammunition and possession of drugs,” he said.
