After making a comeback in the previous year, Philip Green’s untiring work in the studio has finally paid off after releasing yet another country-western hit.
As 2021 came to an end, Philip van Greunen, affectionately known as Philip Green, released a hit album titled One of These Days.
It was during March 2021 that he decided it was time to once more record a country-western album. He first recorded his debut album, Gold, at least 10 years ago.
Philip has been entertaining Alberton for the past 26 years at karaoke shows, DJing at local clubs and singing at events.
“In August last year I started recording my new album and at the same time entered a competition that was held on Radio X5 Stereo, Country Klanke Top 10. I managed to win the competition and came first in the country and also won song of the year with my song titled The Last Thing on my Mind,” he said.
The Verwoerdpark resident told the RECORD his album consists of 12 songs. The album launch will take place on January 27 at 18:00 at Business Break Pub and Grill in Alberton North.
