Mapostola Breaking Ground performs

All Covid-19 protocols will be followed. All guests must wear masks.

Mapostola Breaking Ground, featuring singer Dumi Mkokstad and guests, Vaal Male Singers, Isaac and The Mighty Family, Tamati & Padi and Snipes, will be performing at Carnival City’s Mardi Gras Theatre on December 4 at 17:00. 

Mapostola Breaking Ground, also known as MBG, is a group that focuses on Mapostola music. The group and brand were established in 2020 by the Bishop NE Twala Foundation to advance Mapostola music through various programmes and events.

“Mapostola Breaking Ground last performed at Carnival City in February 2020,” said Michelle Smith, Carnival City marketing manager.

“We are thrilled to welcome them back with their exceptionally diverse and dynamic assembly of songs, choreography and dance because those that experience their performance leave feeling inspired and spiritually uplifted.”

The group is also committed to using the Mapostola music platform to empower South Africa’s youth. Through collaborations and partnerships, MBG has developed entrepreneurial projects that help generate employment opportunities for youth and programmes that develop young talent and communities who have a vested interest in Mapostola music.
