Alberton Tutela hosts successful AGM

Another successful AGM was hosted by Tutela Alberton.

Tutela Alberton hosted its AGM on September 22 at the NG Church in Brackenhurst.

The organisation presented to the community the work it has done in restoring dignity and hope to people in the community of Alberton in the last financial year, which was from April 1, 2020, to March 31.

All Covid-19 protocols and procedures were followed and adhered to during the meeting.

“The event was a success in many forms, such as welcoming the new members on the management team and new staff on board,” said Monique van Wyk, office administrator from Tutela Alberton.

“More so, it was a night of farewell to our assistant director, who is leaving us and taking a new role in European adventures.”

Tutela Alberton would like to thank all the donors and funders for their tireless and diligent support, which benefits the service users in Alberton communities (Alberton, Eden Park and Thokoza).

The organisation rendered services to over 12 000 beneficiaries during the reported period.

The Tutela Alberton team comprises volunteers, social workers, social auxiliary workers, an office coordinator and an assistant worker.

“This team made the dream work, even during the pandemic. Community members are free to join our organisation in restoring hope and dignity to the people of Alberton through volunteering and donating,” said Monique.
