Mulbarton restaurant shooting suspect to appear for bail application

A suspect reported to have opened fire at a Mulbarton restaurant is yet to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court for his bail application on August 6.

Following a shooting at a Mulbarton restaurant, a local male suspect appeared in Booysens Magistrate’s Court on a charge of attempted murder on August 2.

The matter was then postponed to August 6 at Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court for formal bail application.

This is after two bystanders, who were patrons at a restaurant, were injured after being struck by stray bullets during an altercation between the man and woman.

The incident took place on July 30 at about 18:30, where the male suspect was detained by Mondeor SAPS.

According to Mondeor CPF, it is believed the man joined a table at the restaurant where he argued with a woman seated at the table.
