Principal Gary Norton hands reins to Regan Nicholas

Regan Nicholas will be taking over the leadership reins of the Marist Brothers Linmeyer High School from Gary Norton.

Regan Nicholas will be taking over the leadership reigns of the Marist Brothers Linmeyer High School from Gary Norton when he retires at the end of 2021.

“Mr Regan has 30 years of experience in education, with extensive experience as a deputy principal gained at Dainfern College. He has more recently served as senior deputy head of college at Steyn City School,” the school’s marketing manager, Tracy Edward, said.

Nicholas hails from KZN where he spent his formative years raised in the Catholic faith and commenced his career in education before relocating to Gauteng in 2001.

“He is passionate about the holistic development of learners and pastoral wellness of staff. Mr Regan identifies closely with our Marist ethos and educational strategy. His personal motto is ‘be honestly myself, even if it means I am criticised for it’.

“As an outdoor enthusiast, Mr Regan has a love of travel, which he combines with his passion for history, and enjoys hiking, fishing and cycling. He has been married to Melanie for 30 years. The couple has an adult daughter, Megan,” said Edward.
