Covid-19 might have harmed business and training for Figures Models Glenvista but did not hurt the performance of the students at the Figures National Student Model of the Year 2020 held at the Roodepoort Theatre in December.
“Covid-19 threw a serious curveball when it came to giving classes and training but through hard work, dedication and the grace of God Figures Glenvista made a huge success of the final competition,” explained branch owner Natacha Thompson.
The teachers and students put in extra work to make sure they were ready for the finals, and at the end of the weekend the results showed.
“As always the competition from the branches around the country proved to be stiff, but Figures Glenvista proved to be one step ahead with their achievements and placings in the respective age categories and divisions this time around.”
Figures Glenvista took top honours in most of the divisions with winners, second and third place winners, not to mention winning the fashion team division as well.
“All the category winners won a trip on the Project Aim Cruise where they will showcase their talents in front of international agents and industry professionals. The runners-up in each category received discounted prices to attend the Project Aim Cruise,” said Thompson.
