Ormonde Shopping Centre is offering free space to interested community members to host an open flea market every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am until late.
The centre, which is located at 18 Crownwood, houses some of the best tenant base, including SPAR (Halaal), Jimmy’s, Burgerack, Romans Pizza, KFC, and Chicken Licken.
Sumit Ramluccan, who represents Ocean Echo Properties at the centre, said Covid-19 has hit each and every South African in one way or another, some more than others.
“In an effort to assist and uplift the communities in and around us, we have given South Africans the opportunity to make some money during these trying times by giving them space to host an open flea market.
“As this is our initiative and a way of paying it forward, we are not charging any of the stall holders anything for the space. We have been running this campaign for the past four weeks and have seen significant attendance on these days,” explained Ramluccan.
