Nabai Foundation focuses on girls and women empowerment

Their mission is to train girls to be effective leaders, caring citizens and self-aware of themselves and their communities.

Meredale-based NPO Nabai Foundation is a leadership development programme serving girls, women and youth.
They are looking for the community to assist them with toiletries, groceries, old clothes, old furniture, stationery, blankets, iron sheets, timber or anything else they can contribute.

The foundation helps the communities in informal settlements. Nabai Foundation works with girls and women to provide mentorship and career guidance, as well as how to make the community a better place.

Founder Nonceba Ndukula said they started with 10 girls and registered as an organisation in 2018. Now they have more 30 girls, women, grannies and youth.

“We believe each girl harbours the potential to become leaders of change within their communities. Lack of leadership, lack of seriousness towards education, lack of knowledge, selfishness and loss of standards among minority females, is the root of social challenges, one of which is producing unproductive citizens.

“To increase career preparation readiness for South African girls, Nabai Foundation offers a custom that focuses on helping girls build leadership skills like self-reflection, critical thinking, sound decision-making, goal-setting, clear communication and personal accountability.

“As a result, Nabai Foundation develops a true sense of their personal power and their outcomes are astounding,” explained Nonceba.

Their mission is to train girls to be effective leaders, caring citizens and self-aware of themselves and their communities.

Their vision is to be a world-class organisation that builds girls of confidence and character using their voices and talents to make the world a better place.
