Figures Models Finesse Alberton continued with their 2020 Face of the Year Competitions in spite of lockdown.
They took the competition to a completely new level and kept giving young girls and women opportunities on their online platform.
Normally, these competitions are held annually at the Roodepoort Youth Theatre, where all the girls from the different Figures branches come together and walked onstage in front of a live audience and judges.
The competitors are judged on their facial beauty, commercial appeal and casting potential.
The Face of the Year girls aged 16-19 and women aged 20-24 competitions took place online recently. Both of the winners were from the Figures Alberton branch, something they are very proud of.
The girls 16-19 years winner was Bronwyn Labuschagne and the women 20-24 years winner was Eleonora Galletti. Eleonora is a 22-year-old studying a BA in Corporate Communications and has Protea colours in golf. Bronwyn is an 18-year-old who, according to the branch, embodies the peaches and cream, girl-next-door image.
Three local businesses judged a Sponsor Choice Award.
The three sponsor choice judges were from Candice Araujo Photography, Scarlett Red Boutique and Belleza Hair Salon.
Teneal Lopes was chosen as the Sponsor Choice Award winner. Teneal will receive a one-hour photo-shoot with Candice. The outfit for the photo-shoot will be supplied by Amor from Scarlett Red Boutique in Hennie Alberts Street and hair will be done by Bonita, the owner of Belleza Hair Salon.
Bronwyn and Eleonora walked away with an all-expenses-paid trip to the MSC Cruise Ship Project Aim Competition that will be held in March 2021, where they will meet 30 international and local talent agents.
Additionally, each of the winners were sponsored two Sorbet vouchers by Unity Technology Solutions.
The next online Face of the Year Competition will be for boys aged 12 years and older.
