In dire need of loving homes

Thor and Angel are two super dogs and both had a sad start to life - they are looking for forever homes.

Some of you may remember Thor who was rescued by Johannesburg SPCA at the beginning of lockdown. They found him abandoned, unwanted and malnourished.

Thor was nursed back to health and he is desperately looking for a home and a second chance to be a happy dog. He is about two-years-old, has the most beautiful personality and loves attention.

He walks well on a lead and gets on well with female dogs. Thor just wants to be with people and get love and attention, yet he is also very alert.

He had such a sad start in life that the JSPCA is desperate for him to get a home where he will be showered with love and affection.

Angel, who more recently appeared in the CHRONICLE, was badly abused with a puppy collar around her neck which grew into her skin.

Today, Angel has a sparkling personality and will sit well with a family that has an active lifestyle. She is full of energy and will be happy if she finds a home where someone is at home the whole day where she too can find all the love she needs.

She gets on well with other dogs, is a bit on guard in the beginning but once she has been introduced is quite happy.
Angels is only around a year and a half and will therefore do well with basic training.

“Both animals are really super dogs and deserve a loving home,” said Liana Marx from JSPCA.

If you can give these dogs a loving home, please contact the JSPCA kennels on 011 681 3600 to make a booking to view them.

“We also do a meet and greet with any pets that the people may already have to make sure they will get along,” Liana explained.
