Three suspects were arrested this afternoon after security members received an alert of a suspicious vehicle that was potentially involved in the theft of numerous vehicles in various areas
Multiple units comprising of Fox Security reaction and tactical unit, Glenvista CPF members, Mondeor SAPS, as well as crime prevention units were placed on high alert.
The vehicle was spotted scouting vehicles at the shopping centres. SAPS was notified of the vehicle’s location. The alleged suspects noticed the members monitoring them and tried to flee. The vehicle lost control in Walsingham Street after a high-speed chase.
False number plates, a jammer device, vehicle computer boxes, keys and vehicle breaking implements were all found in the vehicle.
All three suspects were arrested on the scene.
