The principal of Harvest Christian School in Mulbarton, Freddie Jordaan, said they are ready and happy to return to school and to implement the changes.
“We understand the risk and measures of the new ways of how we are going to keep the learners safe and we know that no physical contact should take place.
“Learners need to adjust and we need to help them comply for them not to contract the virus.”
He said he was also happy to see Grade Seven learners excited about their return to school, reuniting with friends after lockdown despite new changes.

“We look forward to where we will be doing the introduction with the learners and we will be teaching them more about Covid-19 and how to prevent it. “We see a way forward where our children will start growing again and we trust that everyone will soon be back in their old routine of learning,” said Jordaan.
The principal thanks the parents who have been supportive and entrusting the well-being of their children into their hands.
“Parents have shown us support and it is up to us now to make sure children are safe. We have to make sure that safety measures are being taken very seriously.”
